Is there a pattern emerging here I will be there even though its a 140 mile round trip ;D Any excuse for a Blast through Thetford forest ! ! :)Any chance that the June meet could be a bit more central ?

I will try to get there. But it won't be in the grey tf. Unfortunately Lady Jane Grey will have moved on and been replaced with an F! (don't ask, it's not a pretty story). Celine, I'll know by Thurs if I'm going and if so I'll meet you at the Little Chef. Cheers all David

Its not central if like me you live in Suffolk, if you choose to travel vast distances for a Sunday lunch meet that is up to you but not everybody has the time to spare !
The point i was trying to make was East Anglia area is listed as Norfolk,Suffolk & Cambs so how about a bit of variety sometimes. I may be new to this but i thought the idea of meeting was for the good of all, i have no problem travelling 70 or 80 miles to a meet i just dont want to do it every time.

An excellent point raised by Nigel, and one that we do consider. We do represent Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambs and do want to get about the area - especially now the weather is getting better I also believe that we would get more people on board this nut house of ours - if they knew that we were having a meet near them. I remember the first time that I went to a car meet was pretty daunting, and fortunately it was on my doorstep. If it was over a hundred miles away I may not have bothered. I am glad I did as I have never looked back ;D. My wallet may not agree though - LOL! The meet before last was in deepest Suffolk, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I want to head back that way again. I am from Colchester originally, and spent a lot of time wandering from Essex into Suffolk - as there are some lovely runs and pubs out that way - on both the bike and the car. We were thinking about doing a run to Norfolk, but this months meet seemed to spring out of knowhere. Before we knew it we were half way through May - and I guess that we have just gone for somewhere reliable - without much planning. The trick with these things is finding a pub that can accomodate a large group of people at short notice on a Sunday. I have not had time this month to find a new pub, but am always happy to travel all across our region. I don't know if anyone has seen the thread that I put on this board about good pubs in the area - if not clicky here If you find (or hear) of anywhere good let us know - and we can book it for a future meet. It is your region so let us know so always feel free to let us know what you want to do Cheers Jon

You could all come via Snetterton and watch some MG racing in the morning? You could even have you r Sunday lunch at Tyrells restaurant on site - not sure if they do a roast If anyone does stop by then bring your waterproofs as the weather is not looking good!

The Ship Inn was booked up way in advance (It is always chocca on a bank holiday because of the boats) so the plan was to eat outside. However the weather forecast looks like rain on Sunday I have booked into the contingency pub: The Lazy Otter in Streatham on the A10. We will still meet up at Guyhirn - so no change there. Meet up at 12:30 for lunch at 13:00 For those going straight to the pub the postcode for Sat Nav is: CB6 3LU Click here for a map That said does anyone fancy a drive up to Snetterton?
Or....... another alternative is to have an evening meal at the Ship Inn?We can do it if that is what the majority wants Cheers Jon
