Ah but at the current rate of tax and NI although a kiss and a hug might be the gross payment the actual net pay is one of those continental kisses by the side of each cheek

What must also be factored in is future increases in line with inflation and any cost of living payments (Chandlers Ford is an expensive place to live.
Andie - you may be better off offering this increase as a benefit in kind - thus placing the tax burden upon the recipient.
Alistair - could be time to open an offshore account to save these hugs and kisses in until such time as you have sufficient to have....!?!

Thanks for the advice guys. Checked with my tax bible, and hugs and kisses fall below my personal allowance limit - so no deductions!! And I don't think a heart attack counts as a benefit in kind. My financial advisor agrees to the offshore account as long as the quantity of hugs and kisses compensates for the time and effort needed to collect. Otherwise his suggestion is that, at my time of life, I should grab what I can now! (Somehow that doesn't seem to read right - on second thoughts perhaps it does! ) Who would have thought that a simple pay increase would cause so many problems, - and I haven't even told Carol yet.

2 November - is there to be a meet? If yes, decide amongst yourselves where and let me know. Perhaps discuss on Sunday.

With a bit of diary juggling I should be able to make 2 Nov. Gillingham/Shaftsbury/Blandford Forum all OK in my book.
As you say Dave - sort out Sunday.

Good - if more turn up we will just take over more space!! Forecast for SO51 (B & R S) for Sunday is dry and cloudy. Sunny at times especially early morning. If Pete is leaving very early then 0.2mm of rain is forecast for 00:00 hrs (GMT?) Sunday, thereafter, expected to be dry. How much reliance can one put on the forecast? Could be a good day for the soft top brigade, and if it looks really good I might stoop to lifting the HT. ;D

Sorry Andrea!!!!
I shan't be able to make it sunday
Only 2 of my tyres have turned up - the other 2 were 'supposed' to be here this afternoon but the courier didn't send them out - 'RUDE WORD' (rhymes with banker's)
They are delivering monday now - good job I have 'rest day'
So, due to the fact that i am running on slicks - and I mean they are treadless, bald, non-compliant, absolutely bald as a badger's a55!!!! I can't get down there, or rather, I aint gonna risk 1) getting 'plodded' 2) having a blow out at some considerable speed - only 70mph honest 'occifer'!!!!
Sounds a bit wimpish, but I do value my (clean) licence and my life!!!! So, thanks to PARCELINE-dot-friggin-com "I aint got no rubber" so to speak!!!
Andrea and Lizzie Alistair and Carol
Jay - possibility at mo. cjmillsnun Charles S Dave & Trish Sally & John Pete & Julie Tipping (as long as its fine!) Bob Foster (strongly possible)

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who turned up today - including Car Number 9! I made it 12 MGF/TFs and 20 people!!! It was certainly a squeeze sitting round the tables...very cosy!
Gorgeous day, fabulous topless drive down and back and some truly lovely people to share a few hours with!
As Alistair has already said, I hope you all had a safe journey home and hope to see you again soon - 2nd Thursday in the month meet is on the 9th November at 8pm-ish, same place this time!
;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome yesterday. Had a great couple of hours over lunch and arrived safely home around 6pm.
Might see some of yoyu again this coming Thursday - if anything is arranged can you let me know via Alistair as I won't have internet access at my folks place.
