I have been pretty busy with work in the studio lately (isn't that always the way when you take on something else??!) as has Kris, so I think its about time to get the ball rolling on a possible venue and date for a SCRR Sunday luch get-together. While I'm visiting/checking out pubs (a hard job but someone's gotta do it!) maybe you fellow members could give some ideas for a possible date. There are lots of meets/events coming up in various areas that some people want to attend; we have the Regency Run and Basingstoke Festival of Transport, Atlantic CoastRun, Silverstone in June, Goodwood Festival of Speed, and there's also a couple of bank holiday weekends to contend with...so an idea of the most suitable free date for the majority of people will be of help to aid the planning process! Just stick a post on this thread to give Kris and I some idea of what we need to head for....and if you have any ideas for a venue that you think would suit us, feel free to throw it at us (not too hard, it might hurt! ! ).

Andie, somewhere in the New Forest would be good.
Don't forget your opening gambit was Arundel Castle.

Of course they can, Colin...the only rule being that you have an F or TF.....!!!
We do have to organise things first - would like to fit in a Sunday lunch run/meet before the summer.

Colin, are you on the SCRR mailing list? If not, feel free to email me and I'll stick you in the address book so you'll get details of the SC meets....I already have Jay on the list.

Thanks Andie, I'm not - I be a Westcountryer - I can get away with that being a Cornishman - despite now living and working in Brizzle! Back beyond the tamar river again very soon though, then again for the MGCC Atlantic Coast Run ;D

Ahhhh....well, I'm a Moonraker!!!
Guess if I'd managed to make Yeovilton on Sunday I would have met you then...or did you not go?
Good old Brizzle...I got lost there about three weeks ago trying to find the Academy...was late for a gig in the end!!!

Tony...will make sure you're informed when things get sorted. Aha Colin, I remember reading your post re Gaydon....should have remembered! Old age....its a terrible infliction sometimes! Really busy at moment - loads of work in the metalsmiths/studio and I have a lovely Law assignment due Wednesday..... Will try to find time over the weekend to scout around and make some enquiries - the OH and Junior are away from Friday so I have no excuse to get out topless as its just lil ole me at home!

A quick update...
I know that we have several events coming up...ie Silverstone and bordering area events. Now I seem to have more time on my hands due to losing 2 jobs in 2 weeks I will start to look into finding a suitable venue for a meet and then trying to get a date sorted that is going to fit in with everything else.
If anyone has any suggestions re date and venue that they'd like me to consider, please do not hesitate to PM or email me!
