Right then, sorry Mr Morris, but I've stolen your thread! ;D ;D ;D "You might have heard of this one - the Winchester MGOC hold an early spring meeting at the IBM HQ at Hursley Park just outside of Winchester. It normally atracts a good number of MGs both new and old. We ran down here last year and got stuck in some roadworks ! Beer, Tea, Coffee, Fish, Chips, Sausages etc will be available at the finish and I could get to unfurl the SEF banner again ! We'll do the same (without the traffic jam hopefully !) this year if you like. Meet up 10.30 at A3 South Wisley services (BP) a couple of miles south of M25 Junc 10 as usual. As with all these things we need a list so here goes for starters .... TimM" I'll be adding more details soon but seeing as this is in our "neck of the Woods" thought I'd better get it in here as quickly as possible before I get an ear bashing!

Suppose I really should mention though, that we shall not be starting from the A3 South Wisley services!! I haven't actually got as far as thinking where to start yet! (Damn it, knew I should of edited Tim's thread before just posting it. Teach me for being a tea leaf! )

I believe the phrase is "Start as you mean to go on" and I have . Having "borrowed" Mr M's original thread, I have now "borrowed" from the world wide web more sites which have further info regarding the Cobweb Spin. Came up with a few good results as you can see below. Having read through them myself, it is quite clear that this will be a fun and busy event for fans of all MG's, young or old (Of course, we all know that the F/TF was the greatest achievement for MG!!) and a great opportunity to once again get everyone together for a day of everything F related! www.1020mg.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=40www.1020mg.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=124&Itemid=62www.nfahc.co.uk/PlannedEvents.htmNow I know that Tim M has already begun drumming up support from his ever ready bunch for a nice convoy in and now I need to start getting you "southerners" to sign up so that we can arrive in an equally impressive fashion! (Or even meet up with the SEFer's beforehand somewhere and arrive all together). As for the starting point, I am afraid that I would be cheating if I said to start the run from where I live as this is a two minute drive for me so I am particularly interested to hear whereabouts anybody interested in tagging along will be coming from so that we can organise a proper run in. Come on chaps, you did me proud for the first event! Lets see that spirit again!!

A good starting point would be Leigh on Sea Tea and bacon sarnies before departure.

Salisbury would be a fab place to start from...45 mins from where I live. I am DEFINITELY up for this idea. Sounds fabulous! And I am not being swayed by the mug of tea and a bacon sarnie idea...... I also think the idea of meeting up with the 'other guys' (!!!) would be fun.... Put me down for a 99% definite attendee...! Thanks for pointing me in this direction from mg-rover.org Kris.....!!!
