does that mean you want the parts back that I've robbed off your fleet!!! Since the track car is the most likely least unlikely candidate, I'll make sure I'm in front of you so when the gearchange cable pops off you'll be in the ideal place to volunteer to slide underneath and pop it back on again ;D If Jerry happened to bring a cam locking tool with him, he might find someone bribing him with drinks for the loan of it

Thanks Jerry, apart from not enjoying the luxury of air impact wrenches I'm OK on all the other tools (I hope) so the cam locking tool loan would be much appreciated If I can make it, it will be due also to the restorative powers of Nurofen following a party in Cardiff the night before. This may be one time when the dampers get turned down a bit from track settings too

Seeing as I live near Cardiiff, I hope you don't suggest I change the belt overnight That nut is very difficult to shift without an air impact tool

Seeing as I live near Cardiiff, I hope you don't suggest I change the belt overnight That nut is very difficult to shift without an air impact tool I wish it was as straightforward as a simple cambelt change, but sadly there's a bit more to it than that... So the crank pulley nut isn't the only one I'll be sweating over then ? Or should I have spelt that with an 'r' ;D the restorative powers of Nurofen That won't be enough. I will park under your bedroom window and give you the dawn chorus "a la TT" haha! Always nice to know who my friends are

Forest of Dean Run 051106 - Briefing Meet at 09.30 - Start at 10.00 Start at Highnam Woods, which is just 1.2 miles west of the A48 junction on the A40 towards Ross. Grid ref: SO778 189, Post codeGL2 8 Caution, there is only 1 small sign directly opposite the entrance. If we get there first, there might be an orange rally arrow at the roadside as well. Maps and route detail will be available at the start if you want to dawdle and find your own way to lunch and the finish. We will pass certain attractions without stopping. If you want to, stop off and catch us up for lunch. Lunch will be at the Royal Hotel, Symonds Yat East, approx 12.30 onwards. It is opposite where the old railway station used to be, and has a hand operated ferry over the river, attractive views etc. I can't post the menus as my crummy Windows Me has crashed twice with the scanned menus, and I'm running out of patience You can have a roast(£8.95), sandwiches, cream teas, cheaper options, coffee and biscuits etc. We ate there today and it was lovely. Please indicate to me if you need feeding, and I will let the hapless people know we are coming. Or bring your own, or starve. They have had MG and Morgan car clubs before Also, be aware that the path to Goodrich Castle might be slippery if it is wet. Everywhere is blighted by pay and display car parking, but we have tried to avoid where necessary. We had to leave out Monmouth and the Roman road, as it would have taken too long The finish is back on the A48 just outside Chepstow, so we can break for the M4/Bridge, or go north to Gloucester. Can you please confirm numbers.

Hi all
Don't post here much but just saw this thread. I used to live just north of Highnam Woods in Highnam village. In the last map just above the X Oakridge. Now live in Bournemouth
If you have 10 Mins to spare go to Highnam Church ~ you can see the Spire. As it's sunday should be open ~ they do that don't they on sunday!!!!
It been well restored inside. Local guide quotes "Holy Innocents, 1849-51, was once described by John Betjeman as "The most complete Victorian Church in this country". Extensive frescoes adorn the church, painted by T. Gambier Parry. In Simon Jenkin's book "1000 Best Churches""
Some other inside information. (this is a true story).
Guy working in his Newsagents one day when this suited guy walks in and asked “are you Mr X” You are the soul beneficiary of a will. He inherited Highnam House (you will see that behind the Church), the Church, the Rectory and 25 acres!! Also inherited the Title “Squire of Highnam” (apparently the last heritory(sp) Squire in the country and he has two daughters!!! So the last of the last!! That’s the good bit unfortunately the will also brought a pile of debt & his has to sell the House.
Hope you have a great day have done the route many times in a tin top with two kids in the back!!
