I'm afraid it's definite. No Stelvio for me this year. Sad, but sensible I thought you didn't do sensible Andie! Next time to the Schilthorn? ;D

There is always next time. You can always organise a SCRR trip to take in Stelvio It seems sensibility is going around these days as I shall definitely not be able to make this either. Short of winning the lottery, which as I don't do it is unlikely

Never mind Andie - sometimes the sensible option has to be taken.
Alistair - leaving somewhere around the 18, but looking for a leisurely trip back, possibly with a stop in Monaco.
Any use?

I had another thought for next year. Since the Alps have been done lots, how about Gibraltar? ;D And I'm not infamous.

Come West, John, and catch the ferry from Plymouth to Santander - it's about half the time of the Bilbao route and you could enjoy a pre-embarkation blast over Dartmoor. I'd give you a guided tour. That ferry also puts you within about two hours drive of the Picos de Europa mountains where there are some excellent drives to be had (and at least one very decent parador).

The 2005 Natter was held in Monaco. We all stayed in David Coulthard's hotel and nattered in the Cafe de Paris in Casino Square on the Saturday night.
Exellent weekend.

Ermmm....Just a small point but Mnoaco isn't "on the way back" from Turin, more like Turin is "on the way to" Monaco. So, 2008, meet in the Angry Friar on the main street in Gibraltar? Nothing like planning ahead!

Shall we get this year out of the way first? Any official word yet?

In a word ... NO.
But there are several people involved in the planning, in UK and in Italy.
Are you still enjoying a beach holiday Bob? Stay safe.
