Hi Claude, welcome to the forum. Good advice there, it is useful to keep the front and rear cars in constant contact with the rest of the group, however we must bear in mind, hand-held two way radios, although legal are also illegal as it is being used as a telephonic communication tool and I am sure it would be treated the same as a mobile phone if seen. Hands free kits for two way radios may need to be sourced for the future. In the UK at the moment, it is Ok to use a radio whilst moving. I have a MSA radio so I am hopefully well drilled in the ins and outs of mobile comms.

Read it carefully, and you will find CB, MSA radio, PMR frequencies are exempt. They are simplex systems, unlike duplex systems which are prohibited. These are C&U Regs. Ask a policeman
