Hi Steve, i have just come accross your site,and i have just recently purchased a (2004) Mgf. Please could you help me out if you can,i only got one key fob with the car, i have no problems getting hold of another fob i have noticed like off ;- e bay but i am struggling finding someone who can re program fobs. ?Can you recommend anybody? Hope you can help, much appreciated,Norman.

Hi Norman and welcome,
IIRC you need to find someone with 'Test Book' to programme the fob to your car. It's a computer that is connected to your car for various diagnostic test etc also.
You would probably get it done at Horners in Eccles Manchester or you could try an X Part service centre. I'll try and give you some contact details if you can give me some idea as to where you are you in the North West.

Mention you got their details off the owners forum and you might even get a discount.......... but dont quote me!.
