There's a nasty rumour I might be there. Runt has been laid-up for 9 months but the new insurance docs arrived this morning, MOT inspection is booked for tomorrow morning so by mid day it might be back on the road again

Nice to see you again Bob, if the runt can't make it, could you bring the work vehicle, that should be fun ? We'll have to make space in the car park though

For those of you that could have made it but didn't , kick yourself now.
A great evening in the warm air and a wonderful pub with a car park to die for.
Although we were embarrassed to have only 3 F's and 1 TF on show, there were a large number of 1970's Porsche 911's, a larger number of Triumph Stag's, many mini's and a few other bits of car exotica such as Mustangs, in fact it looked like a weekend event.
If Tim does another one, GO to it, you will not be dissapointed if that amount of cars turn up again, apparently it is a regular meeting point for a number of car clubs, one thing though, how do they get that amount of cars to turn up to a midweek pub event, so come on support the rep's in their efforts to give you something to do on a summer evening.

I reiterate what Adrian has said, what a great place for a car meet, and to those who didn't make it you will kick yourselves as you missed Adrian spending most of the evening fitting new BLING to Tim's car and Tim following him around with the polishing cloth. ;D

D'oh! Got any pics? Glad you all had a good time, mind you it's a bit of a trek for me (moreso Adrian actually), so I doubt I'll make it until I can afford to spend copious amounts of money on fuel (been really good recently, kept mileage to a minimum and it really does pay dividends).

Sorry Emm, didn't get any pics, too busy with Tim's car, I think he was seen lurking with his camera, when he didn't have his polish in his hand . That turbo mini certainly burned up the tarmac when he left, those Porsches with the rev limiter bouncing were a sound too. If Dawn's working for the next one I can pick you up on the way unless David's coming.

Oops, sorry to hear that, what ails her ? Front tyres below par although I'd argue it depends what anlge you look at them from, front brake pads (admit that was my own silly fault for not checking pre-test, and bizarrely a front brake line that had "insufficient room to move" but was routed exactly the same as the near side (which passed). But the really worrying thing is all the advisories: Front sub frame corroded Rear subframe corroded Play in rear near side wheel bearing Rear brake lines corroded Play in near side steering Play in off side steering Basically, nine years old and the car's nearly fit to scrap. I mean, TWO new subframes in the near future?
