As Tim says plus : The first cars will be flagged off from 09.30. There is a Little Chef on site for morning coffee and there will be a road quiz, to keep the navigators on their toes with answers, to my questions, all visible from the car. Tulip diagrams will be used.
There is a nice lunch stop planned at a real ale pub, with a bit of character, reserved seating will be arranged (as it's a Sunday) some beautiful villages, sweeping country lanes and about 64 miles, hope that's OK Tim.
For once, Tim and Liz will be taking part, as they know only the start and the finish. Let's see how good they are ?
I'm sure Tim will come up with his little gems for the winning crews.
So, keep that car out of winter storage, come and have a real good laugh, with a surprising ending that will really make you think what might have been.

Adrian & Dawn TimM & Liz Dave & Michelle Suzanne & Andy Bravoperson (maybe) Emma & Claire Steve Foster <--- Could this be the start of an Essex Roadsters invasion?? ;D Sure is! Count me in too (as i missed this year's Red Eye Run) Adrian & Dawn TimM & Liz Dave & Michelle Suzanne & Andy Bravoperson (maybe) Emma & Claire Steve Foster Andy P (and SF) P.S. If the Nuclear Bunker is the one i think it is, then it's a really interesting place to visit - ended up there following a tour in 1997 and the place is facinating, there are even Spitting Image puppets of former PMs in there. Been thinking about doing a run there for a long while now.

Actually i know of three, 2 in Essex and one in Kent! The so called 'Secret Ex Government Nuclear Bunker' is the one i think we are talking about. Can't say any more than this, i used to work for a partition and suspended ceiling company (when i left school) and we fitted out some rooms in the other two and i had to sign the official secrets act (very scary thing to do when you are 19 years old and straight out of school!) Sadly neither of them are within range of my house or place of work so the knowledge of them is useless to me (plus i'd probably get shot trying to enter them!) It used to worry me being sandwiched between Stansted Airport and Carver Barracks, 2 reasonably high priority targets, but i figure these days if it all does go Pete Tong in a big way then i'd rather be on the front line and get it over with than survive and face the Nuclear winter etc. Totally out of my hands anyway so not much point in dwelling on the subject - still the tour of the bunker is extremely interesting and well worth doing.

Amie - this is a local regional group run - if you're in the area you're welcome to join us - just add your name to the list on this thread. These local runs are generally smaller in scale to the main F Register events and intended as gatherings for the local groups - as such there is no cost other than buying lunch and in this case entry to the secret bunker ! This is a little further north for the South East Effers than normal and we're poaching in Essex Roadster territory !.

Amie, Tim is being polite as ever. Traditionally the SE F'ers (being South East) stay south of the Thames, but I have offered to plan this run on the 6th going to a destination of Tim's choice, which is in Essex.
So, of course you are welcome to join in, whoever organises or plans a run, be it a local event or main F Register event.
If you need to know any more details, ask me, you can leave a message for me or just post it here.
You will meet some of the regulars on this event, as Tim says the only cost, beside your fuel, will be lunch and entry to the Secret Bunker, which will be £5.00 or £4.50 if we have 15 people or more.
Where in Essex are you ? We have regular meets, twice a month throughout the year, you would, of course be welcome to join in, Emma comes across the water from Kent to join in, so it's not closed shop for Essex only.
