Is anyone going to eat on Saturday evening ??. The Porridge Pot next to the HIX is convenient if you do not want to drive, however it is nothing special, more a family motorway restaurant. Warwick is a tourist town so there are many different Restaurants with varying specialities and budgets. A reasonable Pub/Restaurant is The Tudour House which is about one mile drive/taxi directly towards town. Let me know any preferences. Rendezvous maybe 1900 at the porridge Pot or Tudour House. Several have asked me about group dining during the evening. So I have reserved an area for 30 people in the Porridge Pot under my name and the MG Car Club for carvery dining at 20.00 if you wish to eat there. Meet up in there at any time, the car park is large enough for all of our cars and is the sarting point for the run. The carvery price is £8.95p per head. This is the Porridge Pot, slightly different to 2005 when we last stayed there as it has just been refurbished : www.pub-explorer.com/warwks/pub/porridgepotlongbridge.htm

My compliments to the organisers of this excellent event. Kate & I had a great day out with friends from our local region and further afield. The run was perfect and although slightly cloudy at times, the rain was nowhere to be seen. Some lovely views and some 'interesting' roads.
We'll do it all again next year!
Rich.

Liz and I had a great time and it was good to meet some old (Steve) and new faces. Got home just after 6pm after tomtom brought us back via the M40, still it worked. Also enjoyed the night before and a special thanks to Simon and Ann for the Saturday afternoon BBQ.

Another excellent HoE. Huge thanks to the planners and organisers - Phil & Lorna started it off and then Steve and Keith helped polish it to the level we all found. Pepper Pot Carvery ? Could not be faulted - food, staff, premises, wines, dinner companions. Only small downside was Lorna's plan to get everybody up and at the start in good time - fire alarm at 7:15 really was uncalled for. I understand this is the last HoE that Phil & Lorna will be planning - Thanks guys for all your efforts over the past 3 years.

Simon
you did very well - SWMBO had put yoy on warning of "hood up" over lunch at Broadway Tower.
We managed to get all the way home to Hertfordshire in the dry and still in shirt sleeves.

As I posted on .org, had an excellant 'first time' and look forward to many more in the future (although I apologise for all the names I will forget )
It surprising how much of my local area I don't know! Credit to the organisers! Thanks!

It was good to see so many smiling faces at the start. It was a great turn out of cars and even better to see smiles on faces still at the end. Most importantly all cars were accounted for at the end point at Sudeley. At one stage we did wonder where we had sent you on the route as there was no sign of any cars arriving there. A lot more stressful on the organising side I can tell you than just arriving on the day and driving the route - but good fun too A few pictures of the start and finish. Look forward to seeing any on route pictures as we missed out on that part of the day as we had seen that route so many times over the past few weeks picasaweb.google.co.uk/kwil35/MGHoE2007

Hi All, Thanks so much for the amazing turn out on Sunday. We raised approx £450 for the Parkinsons Disease Society which is fantastic, well done all of you. Big thanks again to Keith and Steve for doing the run, could not have done it without you both. Here are a few of my pics >> www.fpower.co.uk/hoe2007/photos/I am currently processing the pics I took of everyone arriving at Sudeley and plan to offer A4 and A3 professional prints of these for sale with all profits again going to the PDS, so watch this space for more details later in the week. Thanks again for making Lorna's and my last organised run another great success. Phil
