I still can't make the new forum out as better As I'm old and stupid, I can't see why we have to have a more whizzy screen to battle through, it's not a competition to see who can come up with the most trendy IT solution. I'm only interested in MGs, so it hardly raises my pulse As I said before James, do whatever the committee think is in the best interests, you will always have diverse opinions, and I'm sure it will be history after a week We will still speak to you in www.swmgf.org.uk ;D ;D

But apart from a VAST improvement in the interface (and I mean usability, not looks) and the removal of unwanted adverts it also gives the admins a far greater degree of control over the forums and flexability over its use in the future. As for the "only interested in MGs" comment, again i see your point but the forum was an effort to register and post on due to its layout so people with a passing interest just gave up trying to use it. Compare this with MG-Rover.org, which although some may criticise for being a bit "clicky" member wise was far easier to join up to and more intuitive to use on a daily basis. <RANT OVER>

It is a lot more cluttered and difficult to speed read. Can we have "post not read since last sign on" on the new forum - unless I've missed this?

By default there are red icons on the left hand side which show new posts, same as this forum does. No New Posts New Posts
