Herts Wheels meet - Sunday 14th Jan

The 1st Herts Wheels meet of the year is on this Sunday coming (click here for link) and Sean and I will be taking our cars down there.

If anyone is up for joining our cars and going in a small convoy, let us know and we can arrange some meet up points.

Hi Allan,

I reckon that it will take about 45 mins from St Neots to the Millstream. So I reckon, we should aim to meet up between 11:30 - 11:45? Can you recommend a good place to meet up 'on route' in St Neots?

How about meeting up at 10:30? Either BP Little Chef in Ely, or do the Little Chef at Parsons Grove? I reckon I can plan a nice twisty route either way.

If you are coming from Peterborough the Little chef at Parsons Grove at the end of the Guyhirn Straight will be fine! 10.30am
(same place as before)

jon not sure where parsons grove is , was going to go down a1 to hitchin where
millstream pub is. Ely is a bit to far out of my way

Allan,

Don't worry - wouldn't expect you to drive up to Ely to get to Hitchin

. Sorry to confuse you. I should have sent a seperate message to Sean.

The plan is Sean and I will meet up the Little Chef at Parsons Grove (near Wisbech) and then we will both drive down to St Neots - to meet you there.

We will all then go in convoy down the A1 to the Millstream at Hitchin.

I will look on the web for a place to meet you in St Neots if you like, but you probably know St Neots better than me. If you can think of a good place to meet up at St Neots let me know. Ideally it would be somewhere easy to find like a pub, Little Chef or Tescos - where we can get 3 cars parked when we meet up.

How about meeting at either the St Neots Market Square, or Riverside (Click here for link)? Any of these be any good for you on Sunday?

jon what road will you be coming across on, the a428 ? it might be easer to meet up at tessco's on st neots bypass as there is a lot of flooding around here at the moment and it will
only get deeper as flood waters come down the river from northants at the weekend .

Yeah, I was thinking of coming down the A428 so that works out well. I will see you at the St Neots Tescos (The one off Barford Rd) between 11:30 am - 11:45 am.

Is it badly flooded at the moment in St Neots? I'll get the water wings for the 'F' out

.

I remember, near the bridge, that there is a hotel or block of flats with a ground level car park that seems to suffer from flooding in St Neots. I remember driving past it one year and seeing all the cars stranded. :'(

Thats fine c u there on Sunday, although the bird has decided the car is hers and she will be driving....

Do u need any water, we have plenty to spare.

we did have a lot of water but it seems to be going down slightly, hopefully wont get much more, although i expect in the summer they will still be moaning that we have a water shortage, i expect we had the wrong sort of water.

Wot colour is your F? we have a red TF called OJO after her registration.
